My 1000th ticket was a complete ghost in the weeds

Five years in and that one customer who sent back a perfect steak because it 'looked too rare' finally made me hit 1000 comps on a single shift.

Wait, you hit 1000 comps in ONE shift?! That's absolutely insane! I can't even wrap my head around that number in a single day, let alone for one customer's dumb complaint.

Respectfully, that customer might have just been trying to get a free meal or a comp. Sounds like they knew exactly what they were doing with the 'looks too rare' thing. Maybe try reading the table better and trusting your gut next time instead of just comping everything.
