My sister swore the $3 Tuesday movies at the second run theater in Akron would be a dud date, turns out she was so wrong
My sister kept telling me that taking a date to the cheap second run theater on Tuesday nights would feel lame, and I almost listened to her. Tickets there are only $3 each and popcorn is $2, so the full night came out to $8 for both of us. I finally tried it 3 weeks ago with a girl I met at the coffee shop, and we had the whole place almost to ourselves. We laughed through a bad action movie and ended up talking in the parking lot for an hour after. My sister still thinks it sounds cheap, but honestly it beat the $60 dinner we did on our second date. What are some other low key spots like this around Akron that won't break the bank?

There's a comedy open mic at a bar on Waterloo that's free to get in, and a buddy told me the nachos there are stupid cheap. Also heard the towpath trail has free parking spots where you can just walk and talk without spending a dime.
