Found a free jazz night at a cafe in Louisville on a Tuesday and now I have questions
Went to this little spot on Bardstown Road last Tuesday because a friend said the coffee was good. Turned out they do free live jazz from 7 to 9 every second and fourth Tuesday. No cover, no drink minimum, just a tip jar by the stage and like 20 people in folding chairs. We spent $11 total on two lattes and stayed almost two hours. Does anyone know other cities with hidden free music nights like this? I want to build a whole list for cheap date nights.

A buddy of mine found something like this in Asheville at a wine bar downtown, free bluegrass on Wednesday nights and the same deal with a tip jar. He said the crowd was mostly locals and a few dogs, super laid back. Another one he hit was in Athens, Georgia, a pizza place with free shows on Mondays. Might be worth poking around smaller college towns, they seem to have the most of these.
