Update: I paid $35 for a "complete" cereal mascot lore zine and it had 9 pages
I want to warn folks before they get burned on this. Saw a listing last month from a seller in Akron claiming to have a full history of the Rice Krispies elves and their rivalry with the Cookie Crisp wolf, with a mailing address and everything. Paid $35 plus $6 shipping, and what showed up was 9 pages of stuff I could have found on a cereal wiki in a few minutes, plus a coloring page. The part about Snap, Crackle, and Pop having a falling out in 1971? No source, no date, nothing. I asked the seller for a refund and got left on read for 12 days. Has anyone found a print zine on mascot backstories that is actually worth the money, because I am done guessing.
