Used to just buy any cat coffee table book with a cute cover, now I check the photo credits first
I used to grab whatever cat book looked good at Barnes and Noble without thinking. Then I got one about cats of Paris and half the photos were clearly stock images. Not even taken in Paris. Now I flip to the back and see if they credit actual cat photographers or if it's just a bunch of generic junk. Has anyone else gotten burned by a lazy cat book with bad photos?

That line about "cats of Paris" with stock photos hits home because that's exactly the kind of lazy cash grab that has ruined the whole cat book market. Most people don't realize the photo credits tell you more than the cover ever will.
