The $85 cat book at that Portland bookstore made me wonder if pricey ones are actually better

I saw this massive hardcover with studio portraits of strays for $85, but the $12 used one with blurry barn cats felt way more real, so which does this community actually care about, the pretty photos or the genuine cat energy?

Man, that price tag on cat books is wild. My neighbor paid a fortune for one of those fancy coffee table editions, but her cat just sat on it and chewed the spine. That beat up paperback with the tabby mid-yawn taught me more about real cat attitude than any glossy studio shot.
