Stumbled on a cat book from 1987 full of pictures of cats in boxes
Found "Cats and Boxes" at a thrift store for $3 and it's basically 120 pages of cats sitting in cardboard, like a time capsule of our current internet obsession. Has anyone else found weird vintage cat books that predicted modern cat culture?

The thing nobody's mentioning is that those 80s cat books were basically the original cat distribution system. My grandma had one called "Cats in Unusual Places" from 1985 and half the photos are cats crammed into plant pots, laundry baskets, and literal moving boxes. The internet didn't invent the box cat phenomenon, we just got better at photographing it. That book is probably worth more than $3 now just for the pure meme potential.
