Spent $60 on a cat breed encyclopedia and it's mostly pictures of cats I'll never own

I picked up "The Complete Cat Breed Encyclopedia" from a bookstore last weekend for $60. Thought it would help me identify all the random strays that show up at my back door. Turns out 80% of the breeds are these expensive fluffy cats that nobody actually has as a pet. The section on common domestic shorthairs is like three paragraphs. Anybody else buy a cat book thinking it would be useful and get a fancy picture book instead?

Paid $60 for 300 pages of cats I'll never meet and one half page on the tabby staring at me from my porch. Sounds about right.
