Small win: I finally figured out how to keep my cat coffee table book pages from curling up
I have this big gorgeous book "Cats in Paris" and the pages kept curling on the edges (drives me crazy). I tried weighting it down with other books but that didn't stick. Then I read somewhere to gently iron the pages with a low heat setting and a cloth in between - actually worked after just 5 minutes per page. Has anyone else tried this trick or do you have a better method for fixing warped pages?

Not sure ironing is the best move long term though. The heat might dry out the pages over time and make them brittle. I've had luck just using a heavy flat object like a glass cutting board, stack a few heavy hardcovers on top, and leave it for a couple days in a dry room. The moisture evens out slower but you don't risk any damage.

Has anyone tried that trick with a cast iron pan on low heat with a towel in between? I did it once for a wrinkled magazine I bought at a yard sale and it flattened out pretty good, but I was too scared to leave it on too long. (My grandma used to iron her sewing patterns, which always seemed crazy to me, but she swore by it.) That slow method with the cutting board sounds way safer though, like you said the moisture has time to chill out. I actually ruined a paperback once by rushing it with a hair dryer, never again.
