Realized my cat book collection was just for looks after moving them last weekend

I used to grab any cat coffee table book with a cute cover without even flipping through it. Last weekend I had to move my stack of 12 books to a new shelf and realized I had only actually READ 3 of them. The rest were just pretty pictures I'd glanced at once. Now I spend 10 minutes in the store actually looking at the photos and captions before buying. Anyone else guilty of judging a cat book by its cover too much?

12 books is not a collection, that's just a stack.

Gatekeeping book collections now, huh? Guess my 15 Stephen King paperbacks in a milk crate don't count either. I've got a friend who calls her three cookbooks a 'library' so I think we're all just making up rules as we go.
