Rant: my coworker called my cat coffee table book 'just decoration' and I'm still annoyed
So my coworker Kayla came by my apartment last Friday to pick up some Tupperware, and she started flipping through the big cat photo book sitting on my coffee table. I paid $65 for it at a shop in Portland last year, it's this huge thing with like 200 pages of cats in windows all over the world. She puts it down and goes 'cute, but it's really just decoration, right?' and I just stood there. Like no, I actually look at it and it's the whole reason I got into collecting these books in the first place. Does anyone else have people in their life who don't get why we actually keep these out on the table?

Kayla sounds like the type who thinks a couch is just a place to put laundry. My own mom asked why I don't just look at cat pics on my phone like a normal person, so I feel you. Some people just see furniture and some of us see a whole mood.
