My sister's fancy cat photo book vs my thrifted cat meme book...

Last month my sister bought this really expensive coffee table book called "Elegant Felines" with all these black and white artsy cat photos. Cost her like $45. I found a beat-up book called "Cats Being Derps" at a thrift store in Portland for $2.50. People come over and they always grab my book instead. It has this one photo of a cat stuck in a paper bag with its butt hanging out. My sister's book is nice but everyone wants to laugh. The difference is humor wins every time for a coffee table book. Has anyone else had a cheap book beat out an expensive one?

Oh come on, you're way off base here. My sister's fancy book is basically a coffee table prop, all glossy photos and pretentious essays nobody actually reads. The real magic is in my beat-up paperback with the dog-eared pages and coffee stains, the one that actually has a plot you can sink your teeth into. People grab mine because they want a story, not a lecture on artisanal cheese pairings.
