My cousin swore 'Staring Cats of the World' would be a hit at parties
So my cousin Ryan brought over this coffee table book called 'Staring Cats of the World' for game night last month. He kept saying people would flip through it and laugh for hours. Turns out he was right - four of us got stuck on a page with a Scottish Fold giving this deadpan look for like 10 minutes straight. Has anyone else found a cat book that unexpectedly stole the spotlight at a gathering?

Three of us spent a good 15 minutes arguing whether that Scottish Fold was judging us or just tired. I don't know if it's really that serious.

Oh man, that Scottish Fold sounds like a real scene stealer! I had almost the exact same thing happen with a book called 'Grumpy Cats and Their Humans' at my sister's place last Thanksgiving. Someone opened it to a page with this orange tabby giving this squinty-eyed glare at a Christmas sweater, and we were all in tears trying to decide if the cat was plotting revenge or just really uncomfortable. It got to the point where people started flipping through just to find the angriest looking faces and comparing them to family members. That book ended up being passed around for a good hour, way more than the actual board games we had planned.
