Just hit 50 cat coffee table books in my collection and I'm not sure if I should be proud or worried
I stacked them all up yesterday for a photo and the pile was taller than my 4 year old, which made me realize I might have a problem but also makes for a great conversation starter when people come over. Has anyone else accidentally crossed into hoarder territory with these things?

and see the thing is nobody's talking about the secret third option which is that you're actually curating a time capsule of cat aesthetics through the decades, like those old 70s coffee table books with the hairy orange cats on shag carpet are gonna be worth something someday. i mean sure you might be a little bit in deep but at least you're not one of those people who collects those creepy porcelain dolls or those weird vintage medical devices that just sit there looking all morbid. plus your kid is gonna grow up thinking it's totally normal to have fifty cat books and that's actually kind of wholesome when you think about it, like building a weird little family legacy one tabby cover at a time.

But the real question is, are you organizing them by era or just stacking them in a vaguely chronological pile that kind of looks like a cat book avalanche waiting to happen? Because that's the difference between being a "curator" and just being a hoarder with good taste in subject matter. I need to know if this is a system or a lifestyle.
