I paid $40 for a coffee table book full of cats dressed as famous painters, and I can't tell if it's art or a crime
Half of me thinks a cat done up like Frida Kahlo deserves a spot next to my actual art books, and the other half thinks I got played by a fancy cover at a shop in Austin. It's called 'Art Cats' and the printing is honestly really nice, so now I keep flipping it around depending on who's coming over. Where do you all draw the line between a funny cat book and a $40 mistake?
My sister got me one called "Cats in Hats" for like $35 two Christmases ago and I hid it on the bottom shelf for months. Then my nephew found it and now it's the only book he wants to read at bedtime, so I guess it earned its spot? Honestly if the printing is nice and it makes you laugh, $40 is cheaper than a night out.
