Wasted $75 on a 'calming' cat pheromone diffuser that just made my tabby, Gouda, ignore his favorite window perch for a week.
Has anyone else had a product totally backfire and change a cat's routine in a bad way (you know, like making a happy spot suddenly boring)?

Oh man, that diffuser basically told Gouda his favorite spot was now haunted. My cat once decided the plastic bag I brought home from the grocery store was the scariest thing on earth, hid under the bed for two days. Guess she thought it was gonna come alive and attack her.

Ever try one of those plug-in air fresheners? My cat started hissing at the couch corner it was near.

Honestly those things are a lifesaver for bad pet smells, they just need to be placed up high. Your cat was probably just surprised by the new scent at first. A quick adjustment and everything goes back to normal.
