Was skeptical about those plug-in calming diffusers for cats...
My cat Milo started spraying the corners of our living room about 3 months ago, and I thought those diffusers were just expensive air fresheners. A friend from my old neighborhood in Portland swore by the Feliway one, so I gave it a shot after 4 frustrating weeks of cleaning up. To my surprise, the spraying stopped after about 5 days, and Milo seemed way less jumpy around the mailman. Has anyone else had mixed results with different brands of these things?

My neighbor Deb tried the Sentry brand one on her older cat that was spraying the laundry basket. It actually seemed to make things worse, the cat started scratching the couch cushions instead. She switched to Feliway after I told her about Milo and within a week the scratching stopped completely. We always joke that her cat is a brand snob now. Guess it really depends on the cat.

oh totally, i had the exact same thing happen with my cat mittens. tried one of the cheaper knockoff brands first because i thought feliway was overpriced, and he just seemed more on edge. went with the real stuff after a week and he was back to his usual lazy self in like 3 days. idk what they put in that stuff but it works.
