My rescue cat finally sat on my lap after 8 months of hiding under the bed
Honestly, I thought my cat Jasper would never come around. He spent 8 months under my bed in my Brooklyn apartment. Then last week my neighbor said 'just sit on the floor and read out loud to him every day for 10 minutes.' I did that for 5 days straight. The sixth day he walked out, sniffed my hand, and plopped right on my knees. Has anyone else tried reading to their scaredy cat and had it actually work?
