My cat's weird obsession with my old tax documents finally makes sense

I found out cats are drawn to the smell of bleach in some papers, which explains why my cat, Mochi, kept trying to sit on my 2022 returns. I read this on a vet's blog after three straight days of him knocking the folder off the desk. Anyone else have a cat obsessed with weird office supplies?

Wait, bleach in the paper? That can't be safe for them. I'm honestly a little worried now, because if the smell is that strong, what else is in there? My old cat used to chew on receipts, and I never even thought about the chemicals. You might want to keep those returns locked up, just in case Mochi decides to take a bite next time.

Used to think my dog was just weird for trying to eat plastic bags. Then I saw the x-ray after he swallowed a whole toy squeaker and realized how dangerous it really is.
