My cat used to just stare at the wall, but a cheap laser pointer changed everything

I mean, for months I thought he was just being weird, but after I got a $5 laser from the pet store, he started actually playing and running around. It's like he just needed that specific moving target to chase. Anyone else have a cat that was totally bored until you found the right toy?

That "crinkled receipt" thing is so true. My old cat would ignore every fancy toy in the world, but a ball of aluminum foil from the kitchen was like catnip to him. He'd bat it around for an hour. It's funny how the simplest, cheapest stuff is often the winner. You just have to find that one weird thing that clicks for them.

Honestly I worry laser pointers can frustrate cats since they can't catch it.
