My cat chirps at the bathroom fan every single morning at 6am

I moved to Portland last month and my tabby Mo started sitting by the bathroom door chirping at the fan motor every dawn, so I looked it up and apparently it mimics hunting sounds when they see moving prey. Does your cat do a weird routine like this with a specific object or sound that makes no sense at first?
