My cat body slammed me at 3 AM and I still don't know why

So last Tuesday I was dead asleep when my cat Luna launched herself off the dresser and landed right on my chest. Full on four paws planted like she was catching a mouse except it was 3 AM and I was the mouse I guess. She just stared at me for 10 seconds then walked off like nothing happened. Has anyone else woken up to a cat doing something totally random for no reason?

Wake up and check if your cat has a routine pattern. My cat used to do exactly this at 3 AM like clockwork turns out she wanted me to get up because her food bowl was two bites empty. I started leaving a little dry kibble out before bed and the body slams stopped. Maybe Luna is trying to tell you she's bored or hungry and just has no idea how to wake you up nicely.
