I used to be against clicker training for cats until my ginger shredded my couch last Tuesday

I always thought clicker training was just for dogs and kinda silly for cats, but after finding $400 worth of couch stuffing on the floor, I tried it just to see. Three sessions in and my cat sits on command instead of clawing the armrests, has anyone else had that kind of turnaround?

Man I was SO skeptical about clicker training for the longest time. Thought it sounded like some gimmick for dog people who had too much time on their hands. But then my cat started scratching up my new couch and I got desperate. Tried it with the clicker and some treats, showing her what to scratch instead. Honestly blew my mind how fast she picked it up. Now she totally ignores the couch and goes straight for her scratching post. Changed my whole opinion on training cats period.
