I finally stopped shutting my cat out of the bedroom at night

For 2 years I locked my cat Felix out because I thought his 4am zoomies meant he hated me, but after a vet tech in Portland explained he was just bored and lonely, I left the door open and he now sleeps curled against my ribs from 11pm to 6am without a single sprint, so what made you finally give up the closed-door thing?
