Had to choose between the automatic feeder and timed treats for my cat's anxiety

Tbh I was desperate because my cat Milo was scratching my door at 4 AM every day. I went with the automatic feeder because my vet said it might help his routine. It worked for 2 days, then he started attacking the feeder for making noise when it dispensed food. Now I do timed treats by hand at 6 AM and 6 PM, and he's finally stopped the door scratching. Has anyone else had their cat freak out over a feeder?

Milo attacking the feeder for making noise is honestly kind of funny though. I mean, is it really that serious, or is he just being a drama queen?

@dylan_stone33 put a blanket over the feeder, helps muffle the noise a ton.
