Am I the only one who caught their cat talking to the ceiling fan like it was a person?

I was sitting on my couch last night around 11pm, just winding down after a long route, and my cat Cleo jumped up on the coffee table and started staring at the ceiling fan. It wasn't even running. She did this low meow, then a chirp, then another meow, like she was having a full conversation with it. I watched her for a solid five minutes and she would pause like she was waiting for an answer. My partner thinks I'm crazy but I swear she does this every time the fan is still. Has anyone else caught their cat acting like they're talking to something invisible in the room? I'm wondering if it's a hunting instinct thing or if she just likes the way the light flickers off the blades.

Oh man, my cat does the exact same thing with the water heater.
