Rant: That border agent made me unpack my whole bag in front of everyone at LAX
This older guy in line behind me at security last month saw me struggling to fit my jacket back in and just laughed. Told me I was wasting time folding things when I could just wear my heaviest items through the scanner. He had this beat up Patagonia bag and said he never checks anything, even on 3 week trips to Europe. Does anyone actually do the wear-all-your-clothes trick or is that just something people say online?

Three shirts through LAX last summer and I almost passed out at baggage claim.

Did your friend actually try it? I had a buddy who swore by wearing three pairs of jeans through security once and by the time he landed in Cancun he was literally sweating through his shirt before he even got off the plane.
