Rant: Saw a guy in Frankfurt trying to force a huge toiletry bag into his overhead bin
He had a clear 1-liter bag, but it was stuffed so full it looked like a balloon, and he wasted five minutes trying to jam it in. I use a flat, slim Eagle Creek pouch and it slides right in with room to spare. Anyone else notice people just cramming things in instead of picking the right shape?

Ngl a ziplock freezer bag for years? That is wild to me. I have seen those things split open mid flight and it never ends well. You are braver than me for sure. At least with a real toiletry kit you got some structure even if it is a brick. But yeah that guy in Frankfurt sounds like he was asking for trouble cramming it like that. I would rather just check a bag than fight the bin for five minutes.

My old Samsonite toiletry kit was like that, a total brick. Switched to a thin nylon one from Target that folds flat. The shape matters way more than the size.

But like... it's just a toiletry bag. You put toothpaste in it. I've used a ziplock freezer bag for years and it works fine. People get so into the gear when the stuff inside is what actually matters.
