PSA: my liquid bag took 4 flights to figure out

Kept failing security in Denver because my toothpaste tube was too big, then I finally timed it and realized the real fix was using a contact lens case for it instead. Has anyone else spent that long on one dumb 3-1-1 rule?

Wait, are we really saying the system is the problem here instead of just reading the sign? TSA has the same rule at every single airport, and it's not exactly hidden information. Honestly, I packed a full size tube for years and never got pulled aside once, because I actually checked the ounce label before I left the house. The contact lens case trick is clever, sure, but it feels like you're gaming a rule that's pretty straightforward if you spend thirty seconds looking at your toiletries. Ngl, the real fix is just buying travel sizes and moving on with your life, not turning security into a puzzle. Tbh, four flights of failing the same rule sounds like a you problem, not a TSA problem.
