Just realized my old toiletry bag cost me $50 at the airport last month

I had to check my carry-on because the bag was too bulky and my liquids weren't in a clear pouch. Anyone have a good tip for a slim, TSA-friendly kit?

Used to hate them, but clear plastic bags are key.

Yeah, I saw a whole thing about how they cut down on theft at self-checkout because everything is visible. Makes sense when you put it that way. I still find them kind of annoying to open, but I get the point now. It's one of those things that seems pointless until you hear the reason behind it.

Oh totally! I had the same moment where it just clicked for me too. I was struggling with one of those bags last week, and then I saw someone trying to hide a steak under their jacket, you know? Like @thomas83 said, the clear plastic is the whole point. It's annoying, but I guess it works.
