I ditched my packing cubes for a simple stuff sack on my trip to Austin

Everyone swears by packing cubes, but I tried a 20 liter dry bag instead. I rolled my clothes tight and stuffed them in, which saved more space than my old cube set. It worked perfectly for a 4 day work trip and I had room for my running shoes. Has anyone else tried a compression sack instead of cubes?

But you lose all the organization cubes give you (seriously, it's just a messy bag).

Ugh, yes. I switched to a bag last month and it's just a black hole for cables now. I spend more time digging than I ever did with cubes.
