Hotel laundry rooms are the real carry-on cheat code, not packing cubes

I stayed at a Marriott in Portland last spring for 4 days and only brought a backpack. Everyone raves about packing cubes but I just washed my shirt in the hotel sink after day 2. The free dryers in the basement took 15 minutes. Now I pack half as much for any trip with a hotel stay. Anyone else ditch the fancy packing system and just wash stuff on the road?

Wash your shirt in the sink, that's a bold move for a business trip.

Figure out if that sink is in a shared bathroom or your private hotel room first. Last thing you want is your boss walking in while you're elbow deep in suds with your dress shirt hanging off the faucet, lol. Better to just use the hotel's laundry service or iron out a fresh one from your bag if you're worried about wrinkly clothes.
