Went with glue-down instead of stretch-in on a 2,000 sqft job in Phoenix

Had to decide between glue-down carpet tile and traditional stretch-in for a commercial office space last month. I picked glue-down because of the humidity and the client wanted easy replacement of high traffic sections. It went fine but the adhesive cure time added a full day to the schedule. Anyone else run into longer install times with glue-down in hot climates?

I used to swear by stretch-in only, but after trying glue-down on a 1100 sq ft job in Tucson last summer it totally changed my mind on humidity issues.

Glue-down in Tucson summer sounds like a real test. Actually, the adhesive itself can sometimes trap moisture if the slab wasn't sealed right first.

Did you try using a vapor barrier primer on the slab first? I did a similar job in Phoenix and that step stopped the moisture from causing any issues with the adhesive. Made a HUGE difference in how well the glue-down held up through the summer heat.
