Stayed at a hotel in Boise and the hallway carpet seam was a mess

It was lifting up right in the middle of a high-traffic area, looked like they just glued it down without any stretch. Has anyone else seen a seam fail that fast in a commercial space?

That's a bad install for sure" is the truth. My buddy runs a crew that does commercial flooring and he told me about a job at a big chain restaurant where the carpet seam in the main walkway lifted up within two weeks. The manufacturer sent a rep out and they found the glue was applied in cold temps, like under 50 degrees. The seam was already curling before they even put the cove base on. They had to tear out that whole section and redo it with the right adhesive.

Yeah, been there. @shane_perry29, you gotta check if the flashing is sealed right under the siding. If it's not, water gets behind there and rots the wall. I've seen guys just slap it on without any sealant, and then the whole bottom edge is spongy in a year. Pull a corner back and look for a bead of caulk.
