Rant: stop using the wrong power stretcher for commercial jobs

I keep seeing guys bring a 12 foot power stretcher into a 40 foot hallway and wonder why they get buckles. Last week I had to rip out a whole job because the other crew left waves everywhere from not using enough head room. Have any of you actually measured your stretch distance before you start a room?
