Pro tip: I still use a manual stretcher for tight corners, even in 2024
Last week in a Reno condo, I saw a crew using only power stretchers on a tricky L-shaped room. They were fighting the baseboards for an hour. I pulled out my old manual knee kicker and had my section locked in tight in maybe 15 minutes. Three years ago, I would have tried to force the power tool too, but a job in Portland taught me better when I cracked a plaster corner. Sometimes the old way is just the right tool. Anyone have a favorite trick for those sharp, inside angles?

Yeah, I was all about the power tools until a job like that made me switch back for tight spots.

Man, I had the same thing happen trying to fit my drill into a corner last week.
