Just read that the average carpet installer lifts over 2,000 pounds of material in a single day
Saw that stat in a trade safety report from last year, and it made me rethink my whole stretching technique. Anyone else tweak their form after seeing a number like that?

Whoa, that number seems way off. That would be like lifting a small car every single day. The report probably meant the total weight of all the carpet ROLLS handled, not literally lifted. Still makes you think about using a knee kicker properly though.

Yeah but the "total weight of all the carpet rolls" idea doesn't really work for me... That's still a huge number if you do the math over a career. I believe the report is talking about the cumulative strain from all the smaller lifts and stretches. It adds up way more than people expect.
