Just hit 200 yards of carpet seaming tape in one week

I work mostly residential in Sacramento and last week I rolled through 200 yards of seaming tape in five days. That's a ton of bedrooms and hallways for me, I usually do maybe 120 yards in a good week. It hit me that I've been skipping some prep steps on the seams, like not letting the adhesive cool down enough before pressing the tape. When I rushed a seam on Tuesday it bubbled up and I had to redo a whole 12 foot section. Has anyone else noticed their tape usage jump with bigger jobs?

You ever figure out if it was the adhesive temp or just cheap tape causing it to bubble?

Man I feel you on that 200 yards, that's a lot of tape. I did 180 once on a big apartment complex and my back was shot by Friday. That cool down thing you mentioned is huge, I learned that the hard way too. Couple months back I was rushing through some carpet in a new build and the tape just wouldn't stick right, ended up peeling up in a couple spots. Had to go back with a heat gun and redo it, wasted a whole afternoon.
