Hit 1,000 square feet of carpet pulled up in a single day

Did a full demo on a foreclosed house in Cleveland yesterday, and my counter clicked over to 1,000 square feet exactly. It was all this nasty, glued-down commercial stuff from the 80s. My back is screaming today, but I just stared at the number. Never thought I'd hit that much in one go without a crew. Anyone else ever hit a weird number that made you stop and laugh?

Honestly, that just sounds like a normal day's work. A thousand feet is a lot, but glued-down carpet is a known beast. Not sure why you'd be that surprised by the counter.

Remember my buddy who tried to pull up his own glued carpet? He got about ten feet up before the backing just shredded into a million dusty pieces. The whole room looked like a brown snow globe. He ended up paying a crew double just to deal with the mess he made.
