That time a framer told me to stop mixing glue into my subfloor adhesive
Was doing a 800 square foot glue down job last Tuesday and a retired framer walked by and said I was wasting money mixing wood glue into the stuff. Said it doesn't bond any better and just makes cleanup a nightmare. He was right, my trowel was gunked up in 20 minutes and I spent an extra hour scraping it off. Any of you guys ever get bad tips from someone who meant well?

Nah I gotta push back on that one @blakem82. I've been doing it for years on jobs with tricky subfloors and it's saved me from callbacks more times than I can count. Yeah cleanup sucks but I'd rather spend an extra hour scraping than deal with popped boards later.
