Switching from nail guns to hand nailing changed my pace on site

I used to fire off finish nails with a 16 gauge Senco all day long, especially on baseboard jobs in Chicago. But after a 2023 rehab where the compressor kept blowing fuses, I went back to a hammer and punch for a whole week. Now I hand nail most trim work because it forces me to slow down and get the fit right the first time. Has anyone else found that their quality went up after ditching the gun for certain tasks?

Totally agree, hand nailing FORCES you to slow down and actually look at what you're doing.

Nah, I'm faster and cleaner with a nail gun all day.
