Rented a flooring nailer for the basement job and it beat my old hammer setup by a mile
I had 900 square feet of 3/4 inch oak to lay in a basement in Columbus and I rented a pneumatic flooring nailer for $68 a day instead of using my trusty manual one. The manual one took me 3 hours just to do a 12 by 14 room on a previous job, but the pneumatic finished the same space in under an hour with way fewer bent cleats and split tongues. Is it worth buying one outright for around $500 if I only do 2 or 3 hardwood floors a year, or should I keep renting?
