Rant: Lost a whole day fighting a mitre saw that was 2 degrees off
Spent last Tuesday in my garage in Portland trying to figure out why my crown molding joints kept gaping. Checked the blade, the fence, even the stand level. Finally took a square to the saw base and realized the whole damn thing was twisted from when I dropped it 3 months ago. Took 2 hours to shim it back true. Anyone else ever chase a problem for way too long before finding something stupid simple?

That twisted drop thing, how'd you even notice it was the base and not something else?
