Last Tuesday was a nightmare on a trim job

I was doing baseboards in a new house out in Maplewood, and my compressor decided to die right after lunch... just stopped holding pressure. Took me 2 hours to find a rental place that had one left. Then I realized I left my nailer at the shop. Worst part was the homeowner kept checking on me every 20 minutes asking when I'd be done. Has anyone else had a day where everything just falls apart like that?

And honestly, that homeowner hovering every 20 minutes would've pushed me over the edge too. I've found that kind of pressure just makes you rush and mess stuff up even more, which only adds to the chaos. A bad tool day is one thing, but dealing with that on top of it is a whole other level of stress.

My neighbor's a contractor and he always complained about this, but I used to think he was just being dramatic. Tbh seeing it from your side makes total sense though.
