Just realized my crosscut sled is way faster than I thought

I spent 6 months fighting with a miter saw for repeat cuts on cabinet parts, thinking the setup time on my table saw sled wasnt worth it. Tried it last Friday on a job in Cleveland, and I knocked out 40 drawer fronts in under an hour with zero tearout. Anyone else find themselves ditching their miter saw for a sled once they actually dialed it in?

That bit about "knocked out 40 drawer fronts in under an hour" really got me. I used to be all about the miter saw for repeat cuts, thought the sled was overkill. But man, you're making me want to actually dial mine in and try it.

Every time I think I've got my sled dialed in, I realize I've been watching the wrong side of the blade for six months or something. That's the thing, the sled looks slow until you actually run a bunch of parts through it. I swear my miter saw collects more dust now than it does sawdust. Figured out I was wasting time squaring up pieces on the miter saw when the sled just does it automatically. Made a few jigs for the sled and now I feel like an idiot for not doing it sooner.
