Am I the only one who still uses a handsaw for finish cuts?

Everyone on my crew in Denver swears by their cordless track saws for trim, but I keep my old 16-inch Japanese pull saw in my bag. Last week we were fitting crown in a 1920s house with crazy angles, and my track saw buddy burned through two batteries trying to get his setup right. I made the same cut in about 90 seconds with the handsaw and got a cleaner joint. When did we decide speed was more important than feel and control? What's your go-to tool for tricky finish work?

Watched a guy fight his miter saw for an hour on baseboard my handsaw nailed in two minutes lol.

Got a similar story from a remodel last month. My coworker's fancy saw kept binding on some old, hard oak trim. I just used a sharp backsaw and had the piece fit before he even cleared the dust. Sometimes the simple way is just faster.

My old coping saw saved me the same headache, @sage_rodriguez.
