My first big presentation at work went sideways in 3 minutes flat

I was at a quarterly meeting at our office downtown in Minneapolis, presenting our team's sales numbers for Q2. About two slides in, my laptop froze and the projector showed my email inbox to the whole room of 40 people. I just turned to my boss and said "guess we're doing this old school" and walked through the rest on a whiteboard with a marker I found in a drawer. Has anyone else had a tech failure right when they needed to look professional?

That whiteboard save was honestly kind of a power move though.

Heard about a friend who did something similar in a meeting. Stood up, walked to the whiteboard, and just started writing over everyone's bad ideas with a red marker. Whole room went quiet, but he landed the deal.
