Last month's bad Monday made me quit my job on Friday

Had a project blow up because my boss ignored three warnings about a deadline, and I realized I'd rather work for myself than stay somewhere that doesn't listen.

Honestly I used to think "work for yourself" was just a cliche but this post actually changed my mind.

Oh come on, are we really acting like one post is gonna flip your whole world upside down? I mean, working for yourself is great and all, but it's also a lot of stress and no guarantee you'll make rent next month. People get all starry eyed about the idea but forget it's basically trading one set of problems for another. Just saying, maybe pump the brakes before you quit your day job and start a podcast about it.
