Blanked during a panel interview in Austin, recovered by admitting it
Mid-interview for a field supervisor role, my mind just went empty on a safety scenario question. I sat there for maybe 10 seconds in dead silence before saying, honestly, that I drew a blank and asked to come back to it. The panel let me skip ahead, and when I circled back, I gave a shaky but real answer that got me the job offer. Anyone else recover from freezing up by just owning it out loud?
