After 14 cold calls last Tuesday, I finally spoke to an actual decision maker
I've been in B2B sales for about 18 months and my biggest struggle was getting past gatekeepers. Last week I changed my script to lead with a specific problem their company posted on LinkedIn, not a generic pitch. On Tuesday I made 14 calls and the 9th one, a logistics manager in Reno, actually picked up and talked for 11 minutes. That never happened before, usually it's voicemail or a hang up. I didn't close anything yet, but he asked me to email a pricing sheet, which is more than I've gotten all month. Has anyone else found that referencing a public post actually works, or was this just luck?

Wish my luck came in 11 minute chunks, more like 11 voicemails and 1 hang up.
